Bay Ridge Resident Elected to Board of Directors

New York, NY -- Dr. Guy Rosenschein has been elected by the Board of Greater New York Mensa to a two year term (1998-1999) as Director. Our local chapter is one of the two largest of American Mensa, the high-IQ society. Dr. Rosenschein currently serves as Coordinator for Young Mensans.
Guy was born in Paris in 1953, and attended medical school at Lariboisière-Saint, Université de Paris, serving most of his residency there. It was during this time that he started his alternate career as flight pilot, obtaining his private license in 1980. As a pilot, he has served as medical advisor in Aviation Sans Frontière working for Médecins du Monde, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and other relief organizations in Africa and Asia.
He became a surgeon in 1984 and a pediatric surgeon in 1986. When he moved to New York in 1994, he decided to join Mensa.
Dr. Rosenschein currently works as a pediatric surgeon in Staten Island University Hospital and in Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. He has joined Dr. Cohn in his private office in Brooklyn. He serves as Chief Flight Instructor at the Telephone Employee Flying Club in Farmingdale, Long Island. |
