Young Mensan To qualify for membership, you must have received a score in the top 2% of the general population on a standardized IQ test, once in your life. You can either present evidence of a previous qualifying score or, if you are 14 years of age or older, take the Mensa proctored qualifying exam. For more information, see the Joining Mensa and Qualifying Exam pages. Mensa does not offer a qualifying exam to those under 14 years old. Qualifying scores are accepted from testing done by schools and public or private psychologists at counseling centers, clinics, graduate psychology departments, or in private offices. The most common of these test are the Stanford-Binet and the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC). At the American Mensa | Join Mensa page and/or American Mensa | Gifted Children pages of the American Mensa website you can view an online brochure, download a printable application form and use web based email to request information or update your membership information.
